Abbreviations and Acronyms
T.G.I.F.-This is an abbreviation for "Thank God It's Friday." I love Friday because it brings on Saturday, my day of R. and R., "Rest and Recreation". But, if I had to choose one day to thank God for, it would have to be the one we all sang about as little children, "The Day That The Lord Has Made." Sunday is my day of choice. Although I worship and praise God at some point in every day, Sunday is the day I am unconditionally in God's service through prayer, praise, psalms, and exaltation. For it is Sundays that make me realize T.G.I.F-"Today's God Is Forevermore." In knowing that, I can truly thank God for any day of the week. The following are some common abbreviations and acronyms that we have given new Christian meaning. More will be added as submitted. If you have some of your own, feel free to share them with us. - V.I.P. - Very Important Person/Victory In Prayer
- F.B.I. - Federal Bureau of Investigation/Follow Bible Instructions
- D.V.D. - Digital Video Disc/Deliverance versus Damnation
- G.E.D. - General Equivalency Diploma/God's Everlasting Deliverance
- D.W.I. - Driving While Intoxicated/Dealing With Iniquity
- C.I.A. - Central Intelligence Agency/Christ Is Awesome!
- U.S.A. - United States of America/Understanding Satan's Abilities
- E.R.A. - Equal Rights Amendment/Everyone's Repentance Accepted
- I.R.S. - Internal Revenue Service/I Received Salvation
